Montreal police have arrested 15 people after a series of raids in the St-Laurent borough and in neighbouring Laval.

More arrests expected for drug trafficking, firearms' possession and fraud

Montreal police have arrested 15 people after a series of raids in the St-Laurent borough and in neighbouring Laval.

Police spokeswoman Anie Lemieux said the raids are linked to criminal activity, including drug trafficking, possession of firearms and fraud.

Investigators executed 18 warrants in Montreal and 4 more in Laval.

Police expect to make more arrests, Lemieux said.

She said the investigation came as a result of complaints from residents in St-Laurent.
