Leonard Cohen: Tower of Song

CBC/Radio-Canada will broadcast Tower of Song: A Memorial Tribute to Leonard Cohen on Tuesday, Nov. 7 at 8 p.m.

Free walking tour of Cohen's Montreal

The concert was just part of the many events surrounding last month's opening of the Leonard Cohen: A Crack in Everything exhibit at Montreal's Musée d'art contemporain (MAC). Among the activities is a free walking tour of Cohen's Montreal which is available for download on the Detour app.

Developed by CBC and narrated by Montreal singer-songwriter Martha Wainwright, the audio tour takes listeners from the 1950s cafés where Cohen wrote his earliest poems to Parc du Portugal, just steps from the famous duplex that was his Montreal home for decades.

Just search "Leonard Cohen's Montreal" or "Leonard Cohen's Neighbourhood" on the Detour App to find both short and extended versions of the tour.
