Update from CBC's Monique Lacombe:

Thanks to all who came out for our latest Do Crew adventure!

This was the first time that the Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Island have done this type of fundraiser and I have no doubt that the CBC Montreal Do Crew made a major contribution to the success of the evening.

I hope that you all enjoyed yourselves.

If you have an event that requires Do Crew help or you want to know more about volunteering please get in touch with me Monique.Lacombe@cbc.ca

Thanks again to the October Do Crew.

It was nice to meet you all.

The CBC Montreal Do Crew will be out in style this month as we help out with a wine tasting and silent auction fundraiser.

The Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Island has been helping kids since 1975. The organization recruits, trains and matches potential mentors with children with the goal of enhancing a child's self-esteem, social skills and lifestyle habits.

On Saturday, Oct. 19, the group will take over the Montreal Art Centre in Griffintown for an evening fundraiser. The Montreal Do Crew will be along to help and we are looking for 10 volunteers to accomplish that.

Big Brothers and Big Sisters

Kate Bagtas, summer intern, greets people at a day of awareness and recruiting for Big Brothers Big Sisters of West island last month. (Big Brothers and Big Sisters West Island)
