Couple found dead in Lévis identified
Police say the couple hadn't been heard from since Jan. 1
Police have released the identities of two seniors found dead Saturday in an apartment in Lévis, near Quebec City.
The bodies of Michel Daigle, 68, and his partner, Normande Labrie, 67, were discovered by police Saturday afternoon in their Saint-Romuald apartment.
Labrie’s brother contacted police after numerous calls to the couple went unanswered. He had been trying to reach them since Jan. 1.
News of the couple’s death shocked their neighbours, who described Daigle and Labrie as very close.
Police say a family member indicated that one of the deceased had been experiencing health problems recently.
The deaths are being investigated jointly by SûretéduQuébec detectives and local police.
Autopsies will be performed on Monday to determine how the couple died.
