Cookshire-Eaton school bus crash sends 3 children, 1 adult to hospital

Three children and an adult were taken to hospital with minor injuries Monday morning after a vehicle struck a school bus in Cookshire-Eaton in Quebec's Eastern Townships.

A baby girl, two children and an adult suffered minor injuries Monday morning after a pick-up truck struck a school bus in Cookshire-Eaton in Quebec's Eastern Townships.

The collision happened on route 108 close to College Street around 7:30 a.m. 

Two boys, under the age of 10, and a baby girl were transported to hospital. The school bus driver was also treated for shock.

A witness says he believed the sun caused the accident, after he narrowly missed the school bus.

"There was a lot of sun," said Charles Geoffrey. "The school bus was parked and the pick-up truck saw it at the last minute."

Four ambulances were dispatched to the scene.

The accident has affected traffic in the area.
