A 16-year-old boy has died after falling during a car-surfing stunt on Montreal's West Island on Aug. 20.

The teenager died Saturday, after hitting his head in the accident.

Witnesses told police he fell off the trunk of a car in the parking lot of Jean XXIII school in Dorval.

Const. Daniel Lacoursière said Montreal police are still investigating and have spoken to the 17-year-old driver of the car. The driver could face a charge of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death.

Two people were killed in separate incidents in Quebec last year while car surfing — performing acrobatics on moving vehicles — and a Quebec City woman was seriously injured this month after falling from the roof of a truck.
