Longueuil police search for suspect in dépanneur robbery

Longueuil police are looking for a suspect in connection with a robbery at a Brossard dépanneur on Christmas Day.

Longueuil police are looking for a suspect in connection with a robbery at a Brossard dépanneur on Christmas Day.

The robbery happened just before closing at 10:30 p.m.

The suspect held up the dépanneur owner at gunpoint.

In a YouTube video released by Longueuil police, the suspect can also be seen threatening the owner's husband at gunpoint and roughing up both victims.

Police say the suspect tried to leave with the cash register after he was unable to open it.

He took off after the altercation with the victims.

Police believe the suspect fled in a dark grey SUV.

He is described as a black man in his mid-20s, about 1.80 metres tall, and weighs 75 kilograms.
