Laval police are looking for a burgundy-coloured Saturn sedan in connection with a robbery at a Birks jewelry store two days before Christmas.

Investigation underway after man smashed jewelry display cases, made off with merchandise

Laval police are looking for a burgundy-coloured Saturn sedan in connection with a robbery at a Birks jewelry store two days before Christmas.

A man armed with a hammer and a gun robbed the store during opening hours on Dec. 23, running off with merchandise after smashing eight display cases.

Police are searching for a 2003 Saturn sedan in relation to the case. (Laval police)
Nobody was injured, but shoppers scrambled, some taking shelter in neighbouring stores.

Police say the Saturn is a 2003 model and has the licence plate P24 EWL.

Anyone with information is asked to call 450-662-INFO and mention the file number LVL 151223 033.
