A 22-year-old artist from Saguenay, Oliver Corneau, has begun a journey of about 500 kilometres on foot to Montreal.

Corneau is using his website to host an interactive game with those following his journey, allowing users to vote on challenges that can either make his walk easier or more difficult.

Website visitors can, for example, vote to add 20 kilometres to his journey, or vote to remove weight from his backpack.

Corneau says this project aims to educate young people of the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region on the importance of perseverance and hope.

Corneau hopes to reach Montreal in twelve days.
