8-year-old struck by car in Montreal North
Police said the boy was still conscious when he was rushed to hospital
An 8-year-old boy has been released from hospital this afternoon, after he was hit by a car in Montreal North.
Montreal police said the boy ran out from between two parked cars, and stepped into the road.
A car heading west on Jules Fournier Street wasn't able to stop in time, and hit the boy.
He was thrown several metres, and suffered head injuries.
The incident happened at around 11:30 a.m.
Another boy hit in Mile End
Police say an 11 year-old boy is expected to recover after he was hit by a minivan in Montreal's Mile End district.
It happened just after 2 p.m. near the intersection of Parc Ave. and St-Viateur St.
It not yet clear who had the right of way.
The child was taken to hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.
