$5K reward offered in fatal Côte-des-Neiges hit-and-run

Montreal police say an anonymous donor is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a driver wanted in the hit-and-run death of a 70-year-old woman on Queen Mary Road on the evening of June 17.

An anonymous donor is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a driver wanted in the hit-and-run death of a 70-year-old woman on Queen Mary Road on the evening of June 17.

The car and driver are seen on surveillance videos that Montreal police investigators posted to Youtube

The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. as the victim crossed Queen Mary Road from north to south near Circle Road.

Police say the woman was hit by a male driver heading east along Queen Mary in dark SUV.

The driver stopped, checked the victim, and then drove away heading east.

The driver stopped twice along the way and is seen getting out and going to the front of his car the second time.

He then drives off once again.  

Police say the man is seen wearing a pale-coloured t-shirt and dark Bermuda shorts. 

The car could show impact damage to its front bumper and hood.
