Woman dies in Manitoba hit-and-run

A 59-year-old woman died after being struck by a car, which then sped off, in Thompson, Man.

A 59-year-old woman died after being struck by a vehicle, which then sped off, in Thompson, Man.

It happened Thursday night, just before 10 p.m., according to RCMP, who said the woman and a 52-year-old man were both hit in front of R.D. Parker Collegiate.

Both were rushed to Thompson General Hospital.

Shortly before 10:30 pm, RCMP were told the woman died from her injuries. The man remains in serious condition in hospital.
