Drunk driving charges laid against Waywayseecappo woman
A 40-year-old Waywayseecappo woman has been charged after a fatal collision between an SUV and a school bus carrying students on Thursday.
The man killed was a passenger in the front seat of the SUV. Another passenger sitting in the back was injured.
Police said the bus driver and four children in the bus also received minor injuries.
RCMP said the woman who was driving the SUV has been charged with drunk driving causing death and two counts of drunk driving causing bodily harm, one for the SUV passenger injured in the back seat, the other for the bus driver.
A spokesperson said the children's injuries were minor and no charges have been laid in regards to them.
She said the SUV driver was also injured and was in hospital but is expected to appear in court in Brandon on Monday.
