Woman, 20, charged in Lorie Bearbull slaying in Winnipeg

A 20-year-old woman is charged with second-degree murder in connection to the stabbing death of Lorie Maureen Bearbull.

A 20-year-old woman is charged with second-degree murder in connection to the stabbing death of Lorie Maureen Bearbull.

Naomi Ross was arrested and charged Thursday.

Police said Bearbullwas walking July 18 in the 400 block of Redwood Avenue, in the city's North End, when she encountered Ross and an argument erupted.

Bearbull was stabbed multiple times in the upper body and Ross ran off, police said.

Bearbull was later found in a back lane near the 200 block of Salter Street and rushed to hospital in critical condition, where she died from her injuries.
