A group of singers boarded a Winnipeg Transit bus Tuesday to belt some tunes in protest of a new city bylaw that would result in a $100 fine for people involved in unauthorized performances on city buses.

After warming up their pipes, the group of Winnipeggers — who call themselves the Royal Winnipeg Transit Choir — got on board a bus and let loose.

Council's executive policy committee approved the bylaw on Wednesday last week, prompting a chorus of protest from the public. Council has since decided it will take another look at the bylaw.
