Five days of free flu clinics are being offered in Winnipeg from Oct. 18 to 22.
The shots protect against three of the most common influenza strains anticipated by the World Health Organization.
And not only does a vaccination reduce your risk of getting sick, it limits the possibility that you will transmit the virus to someone else, says the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WHRA).
Thirteen flu clinics will operate across the city until Saturday.
Flu shots are also available at doctors offices.
