Winnipeg woman, 2 girls say cyclist groped them
Winnipeg police are looking for a man believed to be responsible for a number of sex assaults in the East Kildonan-Elmwood area on Tuesday.
In all cases, the man was on a bicycle when he approached the victims.
The first incident happened at 9 a.m. in the area of Munroe Avenue and Besant Street. The man rode up to a 14-year-old girl, touched her inappropriately, and was scared off by a witness, police said.
The second incident happened at 11:30 a.m. in the area of Roch Street and Sydney Avenue. A 17-year-old girl was touched by a man as he rode past.
And the third incident happened at about 2 p.m. in the area of Manhattan Avenue and Grey Street. A 21-year-old woman was walking when a man on a bike rode up and tried to strike up a conversation. He then touched her in an inappropriate manner and rode away, police said.
The man is described as being in his early twenties or maybe late teens, about six feet tall with a thin, athletic build and short, black hair.
He was wearing a white T-shirt with the letters KEC on back and jeans. He was riding a small, dark bike.
