A 19-year-old man who was in critical condition after being stabbed in Winnipeg has died.
The charges against the 19-year-old accused of the attack have been upgraded to second-degree murder.
The stabbing happened Feb. 8, just before 12 a.m., inside a home on Noble Avenue in the city's Elmwood neighbourhood.
The victim was rushed to hospital in critical condition, while the suspect was arrested at the scene. The victim died Tuesday, police said.
The two men and another person had been socializing in a home when an argument ignited.
The suspect was kicked out of the home but returned to get his coat, according to police, who said the man was allowed back inside and resumed arguing before grabbing a knife and stabbing the victim.
