Winnipeg police say they've made a significant dent in the city's crystal meth trade.
Two kilograms of methamphetamine, with a street value of approximately $600,000, were seized during a traffic stop on May 4.
A small amount of pharmaceutical drugs were also seized.
Police then obtained search warrants for two downtown locations and seized drug paraphernalia.
Two men, aged 29 and 33, have been charged with various drug-related offences.
"Seizing two kilograms of meth will affect the supply and demand on the street so the Winnipeg Police Service, the organized crime unit, were very happy," said police spokeswoman Sgt. Monica Stothers.
