Winnipeg police have laid a slew of charges against a 37-year-old man after over 40 grams of meth was seized from the vehicle he was driving.
Around 10:30 a.m. Monday, officers spotted a Nissan Maxima with inactive plates driving near Salter Street and Pritchard Avenue.
Officers pulled the driver over and found he was driving with a suspended license. They then searched the vehicle and found about 45 grams of methamphetamine — estimated to be worth about $13,000.
Police also seized 10 syringes and identification cards not belonging to the man.
The 37-year-old man is now facing multiple charges including possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking.
He remains in police custody.
