Winnipeg police are looking for a man who intervened in a domestic situation and ended up playing a part in the aggressor's death.
The incident happened in a McDonald's parking lot at Notre Dame Avenue and McPhillips Street on the evening of May 18.
Police said the 33-year-old man who died was involved in an argument with his partner sometime around 5:30 p.m.
Several people saw the altercation happen; one man stepped in and tried to break the pair apart.
A fight ensued between the two men and the 33-year-old was struck, dying of his injuries a few days later.
The man who intervened left the scene before police arrived.
Police are now looking for the man that intervened and for anyone else who may have seen what happened.
