Winnipeg police have released a sketch of a man wanted for the attempted abduction of a teenage girl in late March.

The 17-year-old was walking in the area around Sterling Avenue and Homewood Drive, near St. Vital Centre, on the night of March 29.

Police say a car drove with three people inside. A male in the passenger seat offered her a ride home, but the girl ignored the offer and kept walking.

The car, described as a two-door blue Pontiac Sunfire, drove up to the woman a second time.

This time, the passenger got out of the car and grabbed the girl by the arm and demanded that she get in the car. She broke free and ran away, according to police.

On Thursday, police released a sketch of the passenger, who is described as a 20-year-old man with a skinny build and wearing a dark jacket and jeans.

Another person in the car is described as a man roughly 20 years old with blond hair and a tuque and dark jacket.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call investigators at (204) 986-2857 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
