Winnipeg police are investigating an incident this morning, in which an officer's gun went off during an altercation with a suspect.
Officers were called to the 400 block of Pandora Avenue at around 2:30 a.m. CT Monday on reports of a commercial break and enter.
The police service's canine unit tracked down the suspect on the 800 block of Kernaghan Avenue.
A confrontation then ensued between the suspect and the officers, and it was during that time that "an officer discharged his firearm," police stated in a release.
No one was injured, and the suspect was arrested without further incident, according to police.
