Winnipeg police have made an arrest in the city’s fifth homicide of the year.
Officers were called to a Martha Street apartment complex around 2 a.m. on March 31 where they found 44-year-old Harvey Flett stabbed in the upper body.
Emergency crews rushed Flett to the hospital in critical condition. Flett later died in hospital, according to police.
Police said they believe Flett and another man were drinking at an apartment in the complex when an argument broke out. Flett was then stabbed.
Now, Winnipeg police initially charged 32-year-old Timothy Sanderson with aggravated assault but that charge has now been upgraded to manslaughter.
