Winnipeg police are looking for suspects in two sexual assaults that happened Wednesday in the downtown area.
Police say at around 10 a.m., a 21-year-old woman was in the area of the Osborne Street Bridge when she was sexually assaulted by a man she didn't know.
Officers were then called to the 400 block of Portage Avenue at around 5:45 p.m., where they learned a 23-year-old woman who was shopping there was sexually assaulted.
The woman told police she was shopping when she was approached by an unknown man. The man tried to talk to her, then sexually assaulted her as she tried to walk away.
The victims in both cases were not injured, according to police.
The suspect in the Osborne Street Bridge assault is described as being in his mid-20s and five feet eight inches tall with a medium to large build. He was wearing black clothing.
Police say the suspect in the Portage Avenue assault is between 22 and 24 years old, five feet eight inches tall and weighing about 250 pounds.
He has a speech impediment and was wearing a grey hoodie and black sweatpants at the time of the incident, according to police.
