Missing northern Ontario man found in Winnipeg: police

Winnipeg police say a missing 67-year-old Ontario man has been found in Winnipeg.

Gaston Plante had last been seen downtown on Jan. 22

Winnipeg police say a missing 67-year-old Ontario man has been found in Winnipeg.

Gaston Plante, who is originally from Hornepayne, Ont. — 259 kilometres northeast of Thunder Bay — had last been reported seen in downtown Winnipeg on Jan. 22.

Family in Ontario said they hadn't seen Plante since September 2017.

On Tuesday, police in Winnipeg asked for the public's help in locating Plante and on Wednesday said he was found.
