Winnipeg Old Country Sausage recalls products over mustard allergy concerns
Recalled meat products contain mustard that is not declared on labels
Winnipeg Old Country Sausage Ltd. is recalling some of its sausages and other meat products because they contain quantities of mustard that are not declared on the label.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says anyone with an allergy to mustard should not eat the products in question, which include smokies, wieners, bologna, pepperoni and meat loafs.
The recall involves products from the Old Country and Winnipeg Old Country brands — which are sold in Manitoba — and was prompted following a CFIA food safety inspection.
There has been no report to date of any allergic reactions associated with the recalled meat products, according to the agency.
