The Canadian Museum for Human Rights (CMHR) was Israel Asper’s dream, and now the city has named a street at the museum after him.

Members of the Asper family joined Mayor Sam Katz and a number of city officials at the site Monday morning and named the CMHR-adjacent street Israel Asper Way.

Israel Asper Way runs along the west entrance to the museum.

The CMHR is set to open this fall.
