When the pair inside the house tried to run, one of the men who forced their way in shot him in the upper body, police said.

The second person in the house wasn’t injured, and the suspects fled.

When emergency crews arrived, they rushed the 17-year-old boy to hospital in critical condition. He was later upgraded to stable condition.

A 20-year-old man is now in custody, and now police are looking for another suspect.

Winnipeg police released a photo of 19-year-old Michael Langford Conrad Kelly on Wednesday.

Kelly is wanted for attempted murder and firearms-related offences.

Police said Kelly is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached, but anyone with any information is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477.
