Winnipeg man arrested in Internet child luring case
A 53-year-old man from Winnipeg is facing charges related to child porn and Internet luring of a child.
Winnipeg police said the man posed online as a 13-year-old girl and began communicating on a social media network with a 16-year-old boy in the southern Alberta town of Cochrane.
They began investigating the case in April and on July 16, they searched a home in the Normand Park neighbourhood. They seized a number of electronic items and arrested the 53 year-old.
He has since been released with a promise to appear in court at a later date.
