Some families in the Winnipeg School Division may head into the next school year with earlier start times.

The division is considering staggering start times at nine schools starting in September. The idea is to trim the transportation budget, by shifting some start times and enabling buses to be used on multiple routes.

Some parents say the changes could result in daycare issues — at daycares that are already short of space.

The division says feedback from families is being looked at before any decisions are made.
