An intersection in Winnipeg's St. James neighbourhood was under water again Friday afternoon, as city crews continue repairing a watermain break that caused a massive flood the day before.
Water was reported on Portage Avenue and Queen Street, across from the St. James Hotel, shortly after 3:30 p.m. CT Friday.
A City of Winnipeg spokesperson initially told CBC News that crews had "temporarily re-pressurized the watermain for a few minutes" so they could pinpoint the underground location of the break.
But the spokesperson later said the crews found a second leak during that process.
The watermain break on Thursday morning flooded the Route 90 underpass near Portage Avenue.
It caused serious traffic problems in the area and forced the hotel to shut down for the day due to flooding.
