A man who died in an incident at the Holiday Towers Saturday has been identified as Arthur Haussermann, said Winnipeg police.

A man who died in an incident at the Holiday Towers Saturday has been identified as Arthur Haussermann, said Winnipeg police.

Crews were called to 160 Hargrave St. to investigate a fire Saturday around 5:40 a.m., police said.

Firefighters arrived and put out a small fire in Hausserman’s14th floor suite.

Haussermann, 53, was found at the scene and taken to hospital with upper body injuries in critical condition. He later died in hospital.

The fire caused an estimated $10,000 in damages.

Police are investigating Haussermann’s death as a homicide.
