Winnipeg girl, 17, charged with 2nd degree murder
Teen male dies in hospital two weeks after Home Street stabbing
Winnipeg police have laid second-degree murder charges against a 17-year-old girl following the death of another teen.
There, they discovered Jesse Cole Wapash, 19, stabbed and in critical condition.
Wapash was rushed to hospital shortly after 11:30 p.m. Almost two weeks later, on Tuesday, June 25, Wapash died.
A 17-year-old girl was originally charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon and failure to comply with a sentence. On Wednesday, she was charged with second-degree murder.
The teen remains in custody at the Manitoba Youth Centre.
