A Winnipeg family spent the weekend searching for a 12-year-old girl missing since Canada Day.
Britney Lamy was last seen by friends during the fireworks show at The Forks, said her mom Josephine Choken.
"She's never been out more than over night at a friend's place. She's always told me where she was, called me from there, let me know she made it," said Choken.
"This is just not something she would do."
Choken and her family have been circulating photos online, searching the city, and posting flyers.
"I just can't see that she's not wanting to come home or at least contact somebody," Choken said.
"She could speak to her own dad. She could speak to any of her aunties, call somebody. But she hasn't and this is just not like her."
Winnipeg Police are asking anyone with information to call them.
