Winnipeg driver to stand trial in fatal hair salon crash
A judge has decided a Winnipeg man will stand trial in the death of a hair stylist who was killed when a vehicle crashed into a Portage Avenue salon.
The judge ruled today that Adebola Shoyoye will be tried on charges of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and injury.
Charges of criminal negligence causing death against Shoyoye were dismissed.
Kendall Wiebe, 27, died in April 2012 after a Jeep Liberty SUV slammed into the UltraCuts after cutting across Portage Avenue and through a busy shopping centre parking lot.
