The Winnipeg Blue Bombers' new quarterback says he's excited about getting on the field at Investors Group Field.
The club introduced Drew Willy to Manitobans Friday.
"First off, I am glad to be here," he said. "It's a great opportunity for me, just looking forward to competing, working hard, just giving everything I can back to the province here."
He was flanked by Bombers' head coach Mike O'Shea and the team's general manager Kyle Walters.
Willy was traded to the Bombers from the Saskatchewan Roughriders in exchange for Canadian receiver Jade Etienne.
The 27-year-old has seen limited play as a starting quarterback but is seen as up and coming.
