Window smashed at Manitoba premier's constituency office
Winnipeg police were called to Manitoba Premier Greg Selinger's constituency office after vandals smashed a window there on Thursday afternoon.
A spokesman for Selinger told CBC News that two staff members were inside the St. Boniface constituency office, at 123 Enfield Cres., at the time of the incident.
No one was injured, the spokesman said.
A 48-year-old man faces mischief charges. Police said he was intoxicated.
Selinger's spokesman would not comment on whether the premier's office may have been targeted in the attack, stressing that the primary focus is on staff safety.
There are no plans to step up security in light of the incident, the spokesman added.
