Weapons seized after Manitoba gun show bust
Two men from northern Ontario have been arrested for allegedly trying to sell illegal weapons at a gun show in Manitoba.
Police said the men, aged 70 and 71, were selling spring-loaded knives, improperly registered guns and other items in Brandon.
One of the accused is a licensed firearms dealer and the other is a friend, police said at a news conference Monday at RCMP headquarters in Winnipeg.
The men were arrested at a gun show Dec. 12 and police later searched a home in Dryden, Ont.
In all, some 150 weapons were seized.
Police are not releasing the men's names until they are formally charged.
