University of Winnipeg and faculty reach 3 year deal
The University of Winnipeg's Faculty Association has reached a three year deal with the university.
The tentative agreement reached last weekend between the two sides with the help of a mediator has been ratified with strong support from faculty association members, a notice on the university's website said.
Faculty voted on the deal Wednesday through Friday.
The new deal means faculty members will get general salary increases of 2.5 per cent, 2.4, and 2, plus lump sum payments, which the university said is comparable to the recent agreement at the University of Manitoba.
U of W faculty will also see enhancements for starting salaries, but also maximum salaries.
