Numerous traffic light outages throughout Winnipeg are caused headaches for drivers on Tuesday.

At about 2 p.m. CT, the Winnipeg Police Service had members at the intersections directing traffic and was urging motorists to be patient and cautious.

No explanation was given as to why the lights were out.

By 4:30 p.m., problems at many of the intersections had been fixed, but a few other problem signals emerged.

The intersections still having issues at that time were:

  • Munroe Avenue and Gateway Road.
  • Archibald Street and Provencher Boulevard.
  • Waverley Street at Lake Crest Road.
  • St. Anne's Road at Lennox Avenue
