19 year old taken to hospital in critical condition after assault, stabbing
One man was sent to hospital in critical condition and he and another person were robbed on the University of Manitoba campus by suspects using a fake gun.
Police said around 12:40 a.m. Sunday, three suspects approached two males and robbed them.
One of the victims, a 19-year-old man, was then assaulted with the butt end of an airsoft rifle and stabbed.
Police said he was taken to hospital in critical condition but has been upgraded to stable.
The suspects had run off but police said the area was "contained by officers" until the suspects were arrested.
Police said they seized weapons and the stolen items.
Two 14-year-old males and a 16-year-old male are facing charges including robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and using an imitation firearm to commit a crime.
The three are in custody and police continue to investigate.
