A 15-year-old boy who was stabbed multiple times on Saturday is not expected to live, police say.
Investigators have been notified by the hospital that the boy is being kept alive by machines temporarily. As a result, the stabbing is now being investigated as a homicide.
The boy's death would be the city's 30th homicide victim of the year.
Police and ambulance crews were dispatched to the intersection of College Avenue and Aikins Street around 2:30 a.m.
The boy was with another person when they were approached by a group of males and a fight broke out, police said, noting they believe it is a gang-related attack.
