A teen sought in the shooting death of Darren Paul George in Winnipeg's West End has been arrested in Saskatchewan.

Cody Joseph Kakeeway, 18, was arrested on Saturday when RCMP stopped a vehicle just east of Swift Current.

He is facing charges of second-degree murder for the death of George, 22, who was shot in the back of the head on Dec. 7.

George was found lying in the lane between Beverley Street and Toronto Street, near Wellington Avenue.

He was rushed to hospital but taken off life support the next day.

An arrest warrant is still outstanding for the another suspect, Chance Moses Guimond, 19.
