Another winter storm is on its way, and it will hit most of southern Manitoba Sunday night and Monday morning.

According to Environment Canada, snowfall warnings are in effect for the southern portion of the province, except for the southeastern corner.

About 15 to 25 centrimetres of snow is expected in the southwest part of the province, with the heaviest snow falling north of the Trans-Canada Highway.

The southeastern parts of the province are expected to get about 10 to 15 centimetres.

Riding Mountain National Park may see as much as 30 to 40 centimetres of snow.

Strong winds are also in the forecast, meaning blizzard-like conditions could develop by Monday morning.

The worst conditions are expected in the Portage La Prairie area, with blowing snow and reduced visibility.

Roads in the southwest are partly snow or ice covered, with low visibility on the Trans-Canada Highway near the Saskatchewan border.

If people are planning to travel they should check highway conditions before hitting the road.
