An apartment building in Winnipeg's Wolseley neighbourhood was evacuated after a fire Sunday morning.
A West Broadway fire caused $250,000 damage to an apartment block on Westminster Avenue Sunday.
Emergency crews responded to the fire on Westminster Avenue between Furby Street and Langside Street at about 6 a.m.
People were forced out of their suites, and residences adjacent to the building were also evacuated.
Transit buses were brought in to keep people warm.
A CBC reporter on scene said people living in the building were told the fire started in the basement in a storage room.
No injuries were reported, and fire officials are still looking into what caused the blaze.
