Winston George Thomas was released from Headingley Correctional Centre in late February and re-arrested on Thursday. (Winnipeg Police Service)A repeated high-risk sexual offender is back behind bars less than a month after being released from prison.
Winston George Thomas, 35, was released from Headlingley Correctional Centre last month.
Thomas has been convicted of sexual assault, assault and aggravated assault as well as number of other offences. At the time of his release, police said females of all ages are at risk of sexual violence. One of his victims was as young as 13 years old, police said.
He was arrested in Winnipeg Thursday morning for breaching his probation.
Thomas was also re-arrested on two other occasions after being released from the correction centre, in August 2010 and July 2012.
