Rash of weekend robberies in Winnipeg

Winnipeg police are searching for several suspects after a string of weekend robberies in the city.
In the latest robbery police were called to a convenience store on the 800 block of Ellice Avenue at about 4 a.m. CST.
Another happened around midnight on the 3700 block of Portage Avenue where officers were called to a gas station.
Police said in both cases an armed man entered the business, made his way to the cash register and demanded cash.
In both incidents the suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled.
The first suspect is described as having short dark hair with a black moustache.
The second suspect is said to be about 20-years-old with a scar below his left eye.
Another robbery on Saturday at about 7:30 p.m. CST had officers investigating at a restaurant on the 1000 block of McPhilips Street.
Police said a man entered the establishment, confronted three staff members and demanded cash.
He took an undisclosed amount of money and fled.
The suspect is described as being about 30 years old and about 6 feet in height.
Police said there is no indication the three robberies are related.
Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to called Winnipeg police or Crime Stoppers.
