Police have laid charges against a man following a $730K drug bust

Winnipeg police have arrested one man following a grow-op bust worth more than $730,000.
Officers raided a home in St. Vital in the 1900 block of St. Mary’s Road on Thursday.
There, they found over 600 marijuana plants and thousands of dollars of grow-op equipment.
Police said the estimated street value of the plants was about $735,000. Officers also seized $7,500 worth of grow-op equipment.
A 49-year-old man was arrested in a vehicle nearby and is now facing multiple charges including production of a controlled substance.
He had been released on a promise to appear, according to police.
