Manitoba Public Insurance employees have ratified a new four year deal that includes a wage freeze.

Manitoba Government and General Employees members will see their wages frozen for two years, starting Sept. 23, 2013.

The 1700 workers will see a 2.75 per cent salary increase starting in October 2014.

The MGEU agreement, ratified Wednesday night, mirrors other public sector union deals that have seen two-year wage freezes.

But this one offers a new $300 "Health and Well-Being Account" for fitness-related expenses.

The long-term disability cap has also been doubled to $5500 a month.
